• One of the most supportive and cushioned hipbelts in any sub 24oz frameless pack. Padded SuperWick Mesh lined waist belt hipbelt wings with 1" webbing and buckle. Adjusts from about 28" to 45" . Note ARK Belt in the comments field when checking out. • Curved, SuperWick Mesh lined, ergonomic shaped shoulder straps with FULL LENGTH DAISY CHAINS to mount water bottle and accessory pouches. These are very comfortable shoulder straps and are super tough. The SuperWick Mesh is from an extra thick 15oz sq/yd material that last longer and is cushier that other pack strap material - we did not save weight here... • Volume reduction bottom system: Two clips and spectra loops connect to reduce volume 30% for day pack use and small loads. • Slanted side mesh pockets large and deep enough for a 2L Platy. Pocket top bungee sleeves of Dyneema X for long term durability vs cheaper style wrapped tops of uncovered elasitc bands. Pocket adjusts by pulling the bungee closedthrough the cordlock. Bungee is 1/8" thick 40 below rated elastic in a nylon sheath style bungee. Many lower priced packs simply bind over the top of the raw mesh with regular garment type elastic that loses it's stretch in a few years and does not do well in deep cold weather. • Eight bungee fast clip hooks around main mesh to pocket to reduce pack volume or strap on bulky items, sleep pad, trek poles, jackets, etc. The plastic clips reduce bungee adjustment friction and bungee cord can be clipped/unclipped fast. Clips will not wear though like webbing and last a long long time. NOTE: All of clips can be removed to save about 1 oz. n/c in base pack weight • Oversize rear mesh pocket large enough for two 2L Platys. Perfect for storing wet tarps. User replaceable and adjustable bungee cord in the Dyneema Sleeve. MLD exclusive keeper loop in the middle of the top bungee sleeve hooks over the main pack buckle to help secure big loads in the mesh pocket. Faster entry than a zippered pouch.
