We could make it lighter
but
It has almost no trim extras, the very lightest quality functional DWR top available, a zip that is only 14 grams w/ two sliders and a bottom of .6oz/sq/yd Spectralite/Cuben fabric. Making it lighter would require a major sacrifice in function, size or create impractical durability.

NOTE: Cuben Fiber manufacturing varies and weight may vary up to 10%. However, At these low weights if you get a bivy slightly heavier, it will be a bit stronger due to more spectra strands imbeded in the substrate or a stronger substrate or both. Our weights were based on averaged samples but we see small variations in different batches of the fabric of the same specs. We chose the lightest weight that we felt would provide a long and reliable service life reguardless of batch variation weights. Avg weight of our Cuben Fiber, that we call Spectralite .60, is .6 oz/sq/yd.
